Andrea Finchum, West Texas A&M University

Andrea Finchum joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University in the Fall of 2014 as an Instructor of Management and Marketing. Professor Finchum received her B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Biology (cum laude) from the University of Oregon in 1990 and an M.B.A. from the University of Oregon in 1992. Professor Finchum's research areas of interest include pedagogical and applied issues in marketing and management, particularly as they relate to the nonprofit business sector.

Prior to joining the WTAMU faculty, Professor Finchum worked in private sector in multiple sales, marketing, and accounting roles over a 20+-year period. Her favorite positions involved building management systems and system implementation campaigns, in general. She has long recognized the value of good information in business and has a passion for reporting and for leveraging systems to maximize the availability of good business management information.

Professor Finchum lives in Amarillo. She and her husband enjoy traveling, cooking, music, gardening, and home design. She hopes in the next several years to finally learn to play the guitar and to pursue her interest in painting.

Jackie Marr, West Texas A&M University

Jackie Marr joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University in 2017. She is an Instructor of Management and teaches Principles of Management and Business Ethics. Professor Marr received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from West Texas A&M University. Prior to teaching at WTAMU, she served as the Chief Operations Officer for her family’s business that has been a part of the Amarillo, Texas community since 1936. In Professor Marr’s spare time, she volunteers for various nonprofits such as the Amarillo Symphony and the Hope and Healing Place. In addition, she has been a member of the Junior League of Amarillo for the past 15 years where she was honored as the Outstanding Active of the Year in 2011. Jackie shares a passion with the Junior League in striving to educate the Texas Panhandle on generational poverty and ways to help fight this growing problem within her community.

Melissa White, West Texas A&M University

Melissa White began working at West Texas A&M University in 2014 and later joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2018. She is currently the Coordinator for the Undergraduate Business Program. Graduating from WT with an undergraduate degree in 2011, Professor White continued her education and received her MBA in 2014.

Professor White teaches Business Communication, Introduction to Financial Planning, and Business Ethics. Her current research interest involves industry ethical standards, management, and student recruitment with an emphasis in retention. Her research interests include financial planning, business education, and student retention.

Professor White is an avid fan of WT and comes from a long line of WT graduates. Her family boasts of 12 degrees that were all completed at WT. While she enjoys volunteering with numerous community organizations and her church, her biggest passion is spending time with her family.
