Author Biography:

Michael Kountze, University of the Incarnate Word
Michael Kountze is a doctoral candidate in business administration at the University of the Incarnate Word. His expected graduation date is August 2010. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Middlebury College and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado. Michael has a background in banking and finance and has worked for several Fortune 500 companies. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of EcoGlobal, a social enterprise focused on the repurposing and reuse of plastic waste into commercial products. He also serves as the volunteer Chief Financial Officer of Elequa, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting water purification innovations for middle and high-school school students. In October 2019, Michael presented his doctoral paper, “HealthSpot’s Pursuit to Provide Global Healthcare Access through Telemedicine”, at the Success and Failures in Telehealth Conference in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The paper was also presented at the 2019 Southwest Fulbright Research Symposium and was published in the Journal of the International Society for Telemedicine and EHealth. Dr. Ryan Lunsford, University of the Incarnate Word
Dr. Ryan Lunsford joined the University of the Incarnate Word in 2010 and currently serves as Professor of Management and Chair of the Doctor of Business Administration. Professor Lunsford received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from The Texas A & M University System. He continued his graduate training at The University of Texas at Dallas where he earned both the Master of Science and the Master of Arts degrees building upon his international graduate university studies at The University of London and The London School of Economics. In 2006, having completed his dissertation examining the marketing of home education, he earned the Doctor of Philosophy in Management. Professor Lunsford teaches a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and executive courses both online and on-ground. Previously, Dr. Lunsford was Dean at the Keller School of Graduate Management in Phoenix, Arizona and Assistant Professor of Marketing and Founding Director of the Executive MBA Program at the Ken Blanchard College of Business at Grand Canyon University. Prior to academia, Professor Lunsford served a Dallas/Fort Worth non-profit educational corporation for five years as Director of Strategic Management. lunsford@uiwtx.edu
