Anne Kawabe, MA

Anne Kawabe graduated from Ohio University in May 2020 with an MA in Latin American Studies with a focus in International Business. She received the Academic Achievement Award in 2019 and 2020, which recognizes students with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher. During her years at Ohio University, she taught Portuguese at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Anne is a native of São Paulo, Brazil. She first moved to the United States in 2014 to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree with a soccer scholarship. She now resides in Athens, Ohio. She will be starting a new job with a consulting company in Columbus, Ohio, in September 2020.

Mary L Tucker, Ph.D.
Professor of Management, College of Business
Ohio University

Mary Tucker is Professor of Management in the Department of Management at Ohio University and has taught courses in global leadership, management, organization behavior, intercultural effectiveness and communication. Mary received her Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans; her dissertation research focused on transformational leadership. Mary has published over 50 professional journal articles and textbooks. She has garnered 12 teaching, 5 service, and 7 research awards, including a Best Research Paper Award from the OCIS Division of the Academy of Management.

Mary is a certified trainer in cultural intelligence and has done extensive training, speaking, and course development for both private and public sector organizations. Mary conducted leadership training for the American Association of Highway Transportation Officials in Washington, DC. She worked on a faculty team for the development of an MBA program for Brazilian executives and served on a faculty team for the OU MBA without Boundaries program. She served as the Director of Communication across the Curriculum for the College of Business and directed the Management Department Honors Program, which she developed. Mary team taught in the OU College of Business AACSB award-winning business cluster, a problem-based holistic teaching approach. She participated in the OU College of Business Global Consulting Program, teaching one quarter in Pau, France, and a summer session in Ancona, Italy. She also served as a Master Teacher Mentor, Director of the College Undergraduate Assurance of Learning, and Associate Director for Undergraduate Education for the OU Center for International Business.

Jason Stoner, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Management, College of Business
Ohio University

Joining the Department of Management at Ohio University in 2007, Dr. Jason Stoner received his B.S. (’99) and M.B.A. (’02) from Bradley University and his Ph.D. from Florida State University (’07). With primary research interest in the areas of stress, identity and leadership, he has published research in several academic journals such as the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Human Relations, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Managerial Psychology, and the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies. More recently, Dr. Stoner co-authored two books on leadership: Inspired Physician Leaders: Creating Influence and Impact (2015) and Building Leaders: Paving the Path for Emerging Leaders (2012). Dr. Stoner teaches Organization Behavior at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the College of Business as well as seminars on human behavior in organizations and leadership in various terminal degree programs across the university.
