Author Biography:

David E. Morris, Sr. has been in academia for over 40 years. He earned his BS in accounting and Masters of Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Miss. in Hattiesburg, Miss. He then earned his Ph.D. in accounting from the American University London. He has taught at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. and University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA. His primarily teaching areas are cost and managerial accounting. He has received a number of awards from students for his teaching. Dr. Morris’ research interests include accounting education and professional ethics. He has published numerous articles in academic journals.

Dr. Orwig retired from academia this year, 2020. From 1971-1997 he had a career of 26 years in the military. During that 26 year period he was an Instructor pilot and Command pilot flying the T-38, KC- 135 and C-141 among others. He logged an excess of 10,000 flight hours, graduated from the Air Force Academy with a degree in Behavioral Science and was decorated during Desert Storm. Having fallen in love with teaching as an instructor pilot, he finished graduate school at Mississippi State University, with a doctorate in Operations Management, 1993. His teaching career spans 30 years and includes teaching at Universities in Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi. He has written extensively during that time with over forty academic journal articles.

John L. Scott earned his BBA in Economics in 1984 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his PhD in economics from the University of South Carolina in 1990 with fields in statistics and microeconomic theory. He has worked as a university professor at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Southern Arkansas University and the University of North Georgia, where he is a full professor. His areas of research include the economics of terrorism, real estate, ecommerce, microeconomic theory, and economic education.

Victor Parker earned his B.A. in Political Science from West Georgia College (now University of West Georgia) in 1989. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1992. He has worked as a university professor at the University of North Georgia since 2001. His areas of research include ethics, computer law, and cybersecurity.
