Dr. Joseph Reising
Dr. Joseph Reising earned undergraduate degrees in History and Economics from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1995. Dr. Reising teaches at Minnesota State University, Mankato and has also taught at the University of California at Irvine and California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Reising is a full professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato in the Department of Finance and has served as Department of Finance Chairperson and Interim Associate Dean of the College of Business at that school. Dr. Reising’s dissertation examined managerial turnover in the context of corporate poison pills and he has written in a range of areas including corporate governance and financial institutions. Papers have been published in a range of journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance, The Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, the Journal of Fixed Income, and others. At Minnesota State University, Mankato, Dr. Reising has helped develop both the Integrated Business Experience, and Business Analytics. Dr. Reising has continuing interests in corporate governance and banking.
