Author Biography:
George Garman
Dr. George Garman is currently a professor of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. He has been a member of the faculty at Metro State University since 1991. He currently teaches database management systems courses at several different levels including Introductory Database Management Systems, Advanced Database Management Systems, and Database Administration. In addition to the database course, he frequently teaches both Business Analytics I and II and occasionally teaches Principles of Information Systems. In addition to teaching, he has published approximately fifty scholarly articles.
Before coming to Metro State University, Dr. Garman taught economics for eight years at Loyola University in Chicago and also worked as a Senior Systems Analyst in the Federal Programs Division (Medicare) of Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in Chicago. Dr. Garman earned his BA degree from Indiana University and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
