Author Biography:

Sarah Rist

Dr. Sarah Rist is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Marketing Department at OHIO’s College of Business. Sarah primarily instructs marketing research and consumer behavior courses and serves as a faculty advisor in the Center for Consumer Research and Analytics (CRA). Dr. Rist comes from a strong applied organizational background of project management and leadership, with nearly two decades of professional experience leading teams in enterprise-wide initiatives, program development, research, analysis, and service excellence. Bridging her organizational experience with progressive classroom teaching, Sarah is passionate about fostering positive work environments through effective communication and teamwork, as well as ensuring clearly defined strategies while overseeing performance and maintaining morale. Her current research interests focus on positivity, consumer behavior, marketing research, artificial intelligence, and innovative practices in pedagogical contexts as they relate to well-being.

Mary Tucker

Dr. Mary L. Tucker is a Professor of Management at The Ohio University. Her Ph.D. was granted by the University of New Orleans; her dissertation research focused on Transformational Leadership. She has provided leadership training for both private and public sector organizations, including the American Association of Highway Transportation Officials, 3M, and State Farm. Her current research interest is educational pedagogy. Mary has published over 60 professional journal articles and garnered seven best paper awards. She currently teaches Introduction to Management and Intercultural Effectiveness in Organizations. Helping students learn and grow is her calling; mentoring colleagues as they navigate the system is her joy.
