Daniella G. Varela, EdD. is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program housed in the College of Education and Human Performance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. With over 15 years in teacher education at state and local levels in policy development, program compliance, and administration, she formerly served as Certification Coordinator III and Lecturer at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and as a member of the Educator Preparation Advisory Council for the Texas Education Agency. Dr. Varela's research interests focus on developing a deeper understanding of educator preparation curriculum and delivery, incorporating the perspectives of in-field teachers and administrators, to drive meaningful and intentional improvements in teacher preparation.
Kelly Hall
Dr. Kelly Hall is an Assistant Professor at Texas A & M University – Kingsville. She has taught for 11 years, published more than 60 articles or technical reports, and garnered over $10 million in funding for research and special projects. Dr. Hall was a consultant for more than 20 years providing services related to organizational assessment and improvement, strategic planning, and program evaluation using both qualitative and quantitative methods of research and a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She completed the Higher Education Management program at Harvard University. Dr. Hall holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and M.S. in Sociology-Demography from Illinois State University, as well as two undergraduate degrees in Business Management. She has served several administrative roles including Dean of Student Services, Academic Program Director, Director of Institutional Research, Planning, and Grants, Project Developer, and Research Associate. Dr. Hall has mentored 70+ students through their dissertation research projects.
